Not because she was a DEI hire, but because she was emphasizing that as part of her command's mission. Trump ordered it ended, and she was obligated to comply. If she didn't, in whole or part, yes, that is a reason for firing her.
Is she going to get a chance to defend herself against the allegations? And if they're proven to be false, how is trump going to punish her? I can easily see him pulling a General Milley on her and making allusions to death for treason, or some other kind of craziness.

"In September 2023, Trump stated in a post on Truth Social that Milley's call to Chinese authorities following the storming of the United States Capitol attack was "an act so egregious that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been DEATH."

Btw, if she was using DEI in any way during her tenure, she was following orders from her C-I-C Biden. Just in case you forgot who was in charge.

Competent or not, they clearly weren't necessary since Twitter / X is still going. Government is much the same way. It's filled with people doing marginally, or completely, irrelevant things that could be done without.

Let me know when the government becomes even more cumbersome, inefficient, and pedantic because of these firings, because right now, I'm not seeing that.
I guess you think the loss of thousands of workers over a short period of time isn't going to affect anything. Well, it'll cause the unemployment rate to go up. lol.

That's not how the Coast Guard or military works. You get fired, that's that. Deal with it.

By defend, I mean go to the press and give her story. Like Schultz went to CNN.

"The former leader of the US Coast Guard who withheld from Congress the explosive findings of an investigation that documented years of sexual assaults at the agency’s prestigious academy said he did so because he worried lawmakers wouldn’t protect the privacy of the victims.

“I made my decision, and I stand by that,” former Commandant Karl Schultz said in an exclusive interview with CNN. “There are people who feel wronged by that, and I truly in my heart feel terrible about that. But I don’t think that changes my calculus.”

That is even MORE reason to fire her. You're in that sort of position and you try defending yourself by going to the press and telling "Your side of things?" You are so finished.

His firing has nothing to do with her firing. Once you're gone and out of the service, fine, but while you're on duty? That's a big NO!

If you're talking about Fagan she hasn't done anything yet. But that's real sucky of the military to fire her with their allegations on her record, that she doesn't get to explain or deny.
