Warriors will skip White House visit!

Most championships this decade. Bay Yarea!

When you want to talk about most championships, go beyond the decade. Anyone can do something short term. The Warriors franchise has won 5 championships since 1946 when they began play. In that same period, the Boston Celtics have won 17 championships or 1 in every 4 to put it in perspective. The Celtics have a greater percentage of championships that any other team in any of the four major North America professional sports leagues. By the time the Warriors do that, your great grandchildren will be old enough to have died of old age.

It doesn't matter that it took them 40 years since the last one in 1975? The way you talk, it's been a regular thing since they joined the NBA.

Two in three years isn't clear enough? Yeah, It was torture being a Warriors fan for 30 years. The organization was among the worst in sports. That changed with new ownership and "we" are on top.

They had some awesome picks/players, @ least IMHO.. They had some piss poor coaching though...

Boston fans talk a pretty good game these days.

I'm sure when they won the WS for the 1st time, they were all thinking that it wasn't such a big deal because they'd never catch the Yankees in # of championships.

Hardly anyone is going to be around in 80 years, but, if the Yankees have a slow century, then anything is possible regarding totals.

The warriors have no place in any historical basketball discussion. But that doesn't make winning any less exciting.

Exactly. I always kind of crack up at Boston fans who try to diminish the thrill of a victory by pointing out that whatever team you root for is still way behind them...in either football or basketball. Because in baseball, they're in the same boat. And I'm sure they were fine w/ winning that 1st WS.

I do need to get up to Boston sometime soon. Missed my chance to set foot in the House that Ruth Built, but, I would still like to go to Fenway. Same with Wrigley, if I bother to spend time in Chicago.
