I’d double check those numbers because everything I’ve read (simple google search) shows her getting crushed at the moment. And the reality is you don’t win the Democratic nominee for President with out the support of black voters (see Sanders, Bernie in 2016) or the Presidency (see Clinton, Hillary also 2016).

How do you explain a state like California where we have the most wealth and most poverty and it is very difficult for folks in the middle to live here and is completely dominated by Democrats? For just one example how does strong restrictions and limitation on development help make housing more affordable and help middle class people live the American Dream of buying their own home?

trade war is a long term play. Just like we gave our jobs away we gave China a path to steal our intellectual property, restrict their markets for our imports, and various other malign behaviors that impact balance of payments.

The culture has a history of copying each other. We would see it as plagiarizing, they would see it as improving upon. Further I think many people have failed to see that China thinks like elephants, they do not forget. Finally we fail to grasp how long China's view is, I'm talking 5000 years long view, we have maybe a a couple of hundred years.

It hasn't hit us consumers tOo hard yet ( little inflation) but it will if we can't get it done.

Sadly I've a rather bleak outlook with us winning this, as I stated above we do not have the stomach for the long term suffering that China does and they would do it to spite ALL the west.

The best thing the Dems could do is pass NAFTA 2 -which would signal Chna we can ratify any agreement with them as well
