Teslas are manufactured in the United States and the SDTC. Most are nanufactured in the United States at their Nevada and Texas plants.
The one in the SDTC is in Fremont. These vehicles are sold throughout the Americas, including the United States. Their primary market is the United States.

Tesla DOES have plants in Shanghai and those vehicles are for export around Asia. They are not sold in the United States.

They also have one in Berlin, Germany, for export around Europe and Africa.
