When I read the words "defend our culture" I have to ask what is meant by that, because most of the times it's in relation to white supremacy.
What is our culture in the US? We're a melting pot and have been from the beginning.
When Muslims want to defend their culture it's seen as a bad thing.
Then you truly live a sheltered life. Defend out culture is prominent among many minority cultures in the US. For example, the Polynesian culture strives to defend and maintain their culture while embracing the western world in which they live. In college, we had cultural day every year and on this day cultures from around the world would put on a show of some kind, if they chose to and each culture would make food from their home. There was maybe one white culture each year and it was the Irish.
