Also, nobody has nuked our cities or even come close to it. Your contempt for pacifism is based on supposition, not fact.

Why, exactly, has nobody nuked our cities? USSR would have liked to. NK would like to. Pakistan would probably even have liked to.

What you fail to note, is that he posted this on Memorial Day, specifically stating that remembering the fallen is "glorifying" war, and called those who fell "murderers". So, clearly you didn't read the thread or fail to understand the poster. My guess is, you saw somebody you thought was "conservative" say something you took in some wrong way, then decided to jump in and cover that grenade before you knew what it was you were covering...

Nice way to overlook my post 119 and all the others where I specifically state I'm DEFENDING AN IDEOLOGY I somewhat agree with. Only somewhat because my main military ethics belief is Just War theory. I "jumped in" the thread with a comment about respecting Gandhi, Jesus, etc., yet for some reason you're compelled to twist it that I'm defending Wanderingbear's comments about the military. Then you claimed I took some conservative's comment the wrong way but since when is pacifism a liberal or conservative belief? It can be for moral or pragmatic reasons that can apply to anybody.

And as I said in posts 44, 96, 99, 101, 103, 107 and 108 I started to defend the ideology when posters other than me redirected the topic away from war and on to rape, family defense etc. At least try to be more accurate with your criticism, because it really ticks me off when people pull the Kreskin thing on my thoughts.

I am very accurate. You attempted to tell me what somebody "meant". Ignored their own derisive attitude and tried to lecture people based on questions that were asked... I explained to you why you were simply wrong. Again, you find something to "fight" in agreement solely because of the political view of the person who is speaking to you.

You came in here ignorant of what had passed before, I explained what passed in the decade or more since I've known wanderingbear, and all you can give me is how evil it is for people to ask him questions about his ideology because they took the exact same derisive attitude as the OP? That's a "win" for the other side Christie.

????....can you give me an actual instance where a peace activist has stepped up to violence and died to save our country.......at best I expect you might come up with an instance where a peace activist stepped up and died, followed by a soldier who actually saved the country...........apparently some believe others will make the sacrifice for them, yet have no gratitude towards them......
