Giving walmart employees a raise will put more pocket in the money of consumers, stimulate consumerism and thus create jobs. It will also create more tax income for the government. Which is very much needed.

Walmart can come away with a black eye or get knocked out, though I have no doubt. Walmart will lose against the strikers.

Aside from the fact they they physically can't take all the jobs, if your main source of income is unskilled labor, then you didn't have much of an economic future to begin with. Just look at any grocery store. The Chinese aren't ringing up my loaf of bread and 30rack of PBR. A machine is. That's where serious manufacturing went. To machines, not China.
