Nikki Haley's problem is she has some very loose lips. She gets in her own way by making foolish insensitive comments, AND YES, AT TIMES , comments that are insensitive about RACE. She loves to point her fingers at others, and accuse them of using racist comments, by taking their comments out of context, and deliberately quotes her political adversaries inaccurately. That's just lying. If you lie on the Campaign Trail, people are going to call you out. And if you make racist comments, you are going to lose votes and be accused of exactly what the man on MSNBC said about her.
Although , we could go back several years in her career, and pick out many of the things she has said in the past that was very controversial, I'll just use a couple of examples about what I am talking about that she has said here just recently.
Haley called for the deportation of Georgia’s first Black senator at a rally in Hiram, Georgia, as she stumped for Warnock’s Republican challenger, Herschel Walker. She blabbered out, “Legal immigrants are more patriotic than the leftists these days,” she said. “They worked to come into America and they love America. They want the laws followed in America. So the only person we need to make sure we deport is Warnock.”
Warnock was born here, so Deport him where? BACK TO AFRICA?
Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley criticized what she said was a “self-loathing” taking over the U.S. and dismissed accusations that the country is racist during her campaign launch Wednesday in Charleston, S.C. She said, Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley criticized what she said was a “self-loathing” taking over the U.S. and dismissed accusations that the country is racist during her campaign launch Wednesday in Charleston, S.C.
“A self-loathing has swept our country. It’s in the classroom, the boardroom and the backrooms of government,” Haley said, speaking to supporters. “Every day, we’re told America is flawed, rotten and full of hate. Joe [Biden] and Kamala [Harris] even say America is racist. Nothing could be further from the truth.”
Facts First: Both Biden and Harris have explicitly said they do not think that America is itself “racist,” though both have also said that there continues to be “systemic racism” embedded in American institutions such as policing and the criminal justice system. Biden and Harris have rejected the idea that America is racist. Biden and Harris were asked in April 2021 about an assertion from South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, the only Black Republican in the Senate, that “America is not a racist country.”
They both agreed.
Biden said on NBC: “No, I don’t think the American people are racist. But I think after 400 years, African Americans have been left in a position where they’re so far behind the 8 ball in terms of education, health, in terms of opportunity.”
Biden added that he doesn’t think people “say, ‘I don’t want any Black person around me or living next to me.’” Rather, he said, it’s fact that “there used to be laws that said a Black person couldn’t live in that neighborhood.” He continued: “I don’t think America’s racist, but I think the overhang from all of the Jim Crow, and before that, slavery, have had a cost, and we have to deal with it.”
Harris said on ABC: “No, I don’t think America is a racist country. But we also do have to speak truth about the history of racism in our country and its existence today. And I applaud the president for always having the ability, and the courage, frankly, to speak the truth about it.”
Biden and Harris have denounced systemic racism
Biden and Harris do endorse a notion that Haley rejects: that various American institutions have an ongoing problem with systemic racism. In basic terms, that’s the idea that racism is baked into institutions’ laws, policies and practices rather than merely perpetrated by prejudiced individual bad apples.
As president, Biden has repeatedly spoken of systemic racism as a major issue for the country – while, again, never saying that the country as a whole is a racist entity. He said at CNN town hall in early 2021, during an extended commentary about racial disparities in criminal sentencing, that “I think we have to deal with systemic racism that exists throughout society.” He vowed in a speech in early 2021 that his administration would “work to dismantle systemic racism across the board by advancing racial equity across the whole of government. In health care, education, housing, economic mobility, environmental justice, civil rights, and our justice system itself.”
Nikki Haley flips and flops about racism existing and not existing in America. I mean, what do you call it when Ann Coulter comes out and makes the Racist comment, "Nikki Haley should be deported back to India", following her announcement that she was in the race for the president. And when she herself made the Comment that Warnock should be deported?
The remarks show how Haley is wading into culture war issues as a part of her campaign. In her launch video released on Tuesday, Haley’s campaign showed a montage of photos, including one from The 1619 Project and a sign reading “Racism is a pandemic.”
“Some look at our past as evidence that America’s founding principles are bad. They say the promise of freedom is just made up,” Haley said in the video. “Some think our ideas are not just wrong but racist and evil. Nothing could be further from the truth.”
Just more flipping and flopping comments!
