As I said. If they were Christians you wouldn't be saying they were "pretending" you would be mocking all Christians by calling them "fundys" (sic).

Not one of them have proposed anything of the sort. I'd bet you'd be hard pressed to find a Christian who thinks we should make it illegal to be a member of a different religion. Name one mainstream politician who has said we should make it illegal to believe in another religion.

Interesting that you think so. A true fundamentalist believes the tenets of the religion. By using such a word to mock them it is clear that you mock anybody who believes in the basic tenets. As I said, you are careful not to call one group by other than "pretend", the others you claim as part of your own, they just believe more fundamentally...

How many non-Christians do you know who are afraid of over 70% of this nation because they all profess a belief in that particular higher power? Yes, there have been people on this forum who would kill non believers, but our culture and laws keep them from doing so. I also know people in my personal life who think we should nuke the ME and all the Muslims, hopefully these people never get into power

You said they wanted to make this a "Christian Nation"... That is the basic definition and the reason for the 1st Amendment. No authority gets to tell you what to believe as the Sovereign did before the revolution. All of the people you named support the 1st Amendment not one of them have any urge to make this a "Christian Nation".

Yes but in modern America, those who call themselves fundamentalists are exactly the opposite.
