Why? Because labels require no critical thought and we are all encouraged to believe that believing is thinking. No power structure in the history of humanity ever wanted to face a clear headed, coherent, critically thinking population. Terrifies the shit out of authoritarian power structures. That's what your corporate state media machine is for as an example.

first, tax cuts are not a solely conservative issue. Libertarians are also about tax cuts. actually very limited taxes. yes, I oppose the war on terror, just like i oppose the war on drugs. I do not oppose deregulation. there should only be minimal regulation.

Tax cuts are dogma to Conservatism. The only legislative accomplishment from the last two years was a tax cut. A tax cut that we were promised would raise incomes by $4,000-$9,000 but has only resulted in real wage declines instead.
