An impeachment is an accusation — nothing more

It is an accusation that has to be shown rooted in facts and malfeasance. that is a lot more. It was proven on TV for your watching pleasure. Impeachment is more like a grand jury. It found plenty of evidence of crimes.

nope. it's based on hearsay, and the disguntlement of snooty career bureaucrats.
Which of course is their only game plan here. Cry out loud and sob about "Why don't they hurry up and get it done? Pelosi has nothing or she'd send over the indictme.... er, Articles," etc. Meanwhile they stall about witnesses, subpoenas, and testimony to try to make it look like the (D)s are the ones holding things up.
The OP is correct: If McConnell is forced to allow witnesses, the SS Trumptanic is going down for good.
On CNN Tuesday, Rep. John Yarmuth (D-KY) broke down the key political pressures pulling Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in both directions on how to conduct the Senate impeachment trial.
“The president is saying the House process was unfair, and now implying why should Democrats expect a fair process in the Senate. what do you say to that?” asked anchor Kate Bolduan.
“Well, first of all, he’s totally lying about the process,” said Yarmuth. “He was invited to have lawyers present and call witnesses, he chose not to. He did not participate in the House. To say it was not fair because he decided not to make it fair is ridiculous. I think the argument is the same with whatever happens in the Senate.”
“I think Mitch McConnell’s in a real bind here, regardless of what President Trump says,” continued Yarmuth. “I think Mitch is going to face severe criticism, and as the polling has shown, not just from Democrats, if he makes short shrift of this whole proceeding. And yet if he calls witnesses, then the president’s case is going to be severely damaged. I think he really makes the calculation right now that at least he’s safer to have, basically, a non-trial trial, than to call witnesses who would undermine the president’s arguments.
But they already admitted it won't be a fair trial. I'm over it, I know Trump won't be removed. However, I now know that the RNC has rejected American values.
You are a good minion, your reward shall be great!
Maybe you should read what you just said here. Did it ever occur to you that the hearings in the House were "one-sided" because TRE45ON refused to cooperate, send his own attorneys and witnesses (if he has any), and participate like an adult?
Your nonsense proves that, once again, there is no stupid level too low for the Trumpanzees. You will defend the most treasonous and unethical and immoral behaviors in a vain attempt to defend your Mango Messiah.
Pelosi can't be forced to do shit either, genius. Hence all your crying and poutrage about the current state of the Downfall of Drumpf.

That is so stupid. Terrified Trump is throwing every roadblock he can to prevent the people from finding out what he has done in the dark. He ordered every person he had to ignore subpoenas to testify and prevented them from providing the paperwork that was requested. That is what the guilty do. If he had nothing to hide, he would not hide everything, everything. Every single scrap is blocked. When Sondland was testifying he said he was blocked from getting his own documentation by Trump. That is not what an innocent person would do. It is called obstruction of justice.
Nixon gave up documentation. Clinton testified. Trump hides. Trump does what the guilty does, not what a person with innocence protecting him would do.
Because you say so? The House was stopped from getting Trump's people to testify and from getting paperwork. Trump ordered all to ignore subpoenas and hide documentation. Think that will be reversed in the Senate? Trump will secrete every scrap of information again. That is what the guilty do. The Senate is full of Trump enablers.
Nervous Nancy is afraid to send the Articles to the Senate.
No charges, no trial, no impeachment.
The Senate is going to use the SAME RULES AS THE CLINTON IMPEACHMENT TRIAL = COULD NOT BE ANY MORE FAIR, ASSHOLES.
Sad day for america is more like it. But like your traitors have already said years ago we can't win unless we impeach him. Thankfully he's gonna win reelection. My joy will come in your four year torture as trump reverses king Obama's doings and secures the courts for decades. Imagine the golden god with no care about reelection. Stocking up on the pop corn.
