Voter intimidation in AZ?

Don't you even understand that it is the DUTY of voting officals to see to it that only eligible voters get to cast a ballot....thats wtf they are there for....they aren't there to drink coffee and read paperbacks.
I repeat...

The voter application asks if you are a citizen and anyone....ANYONE at all can just say yeah...I'm a citizen....no one checks, no one cares, no one has to actually prove they are citizens, they can and do vote even if they are not citizens....their is no control at all....

The danger of illegal voters by non-citizens needs to start at voter registration....how the hell can anyone register to vote without proof of citizenship...thats the PRIMARY REQUIREMENT for being eligible....
even you pinheads must understand that .....

The voting officials inside the polling station can check your ID against a list.

These are not the people I'm talking about so try and pay attention to what I'm saying, not what you want to hear.

Joe's VOLUNTEERS are not voting officials. How are they going to determine, as joe says, who is a legal citizen? But what means? What criteria will they be using?

"Our grassroots army of VOTER FRAUD PREVENTION VOLUNTEERS will stand vigilant across the nation. We will be the first and strongest line of defense to ensure that only legal citizens vote on November 2nd.”

The presence of police (or firemen, or ministers, whatever) anywhere, in the mall, in church, in a polling place, in a bar, in a theater, in a park....ANYWHERE should not considered intimidating any more than on the street or in the police station.....it takes more then someone mere presence to constitute intimidation......
Now a mininster carrying a knife, or a BP waving a club, or a policemen waving a gun, is different....
You realize, the NBP carrying the club and using it in an intimidating manner was removed from the polling place, while his partner was allowed to remain, because he was not acting in an intimidating manner.

Then clarify this. How are Joe's volunteers standing outside the polls going to determine WHO IS LEGAL AND ELIGIBLE?
They don't have to "determine' anything.....its there presense that deters the crime, just as the presence of a policeman in a bank deters a bank robbery, or one parked along a highway deters speeders....
just as the poll worker checking if your name is on his list of voters, deters voters that don't belong there from trying to vote there....

Uh-huh. And I would have been intimidated by the guy in Chambersburg who brought his gun to a polling place but the judge decided he was within his rights.

I guess intimidation just means who's doing it and what they're doing it with.

Maybe he'll ask someone, "Are you at the right precinct" ?....got a problem with that?
He might get an answer or he might be ignored....he has no probable cause or authority to do anything else....Just about like your BP's...at least the ones that weren't slapping there nightsticks around would have the same right ...

.
This is getting more freakin' adolescent by the minute....

We'll see if Arpaio actually, in reality does anything anywhere.....the fact remains, no one can stop voters from entering those pollings places without cause, or intimidate them outside of inside for the purpose of stopping them from exercising their legal right to vote.....not even Arpaio.....

You don't get it and I don't know if you're being deliberately obtuse or if you're just willfully ignorant.

If the "grassroots army" looks threatening they'll deter any voter who is nervous about their presence whether the voter is legal or not. It was the argument people made about the NBP in Philly, that their presence was scaring away legal voters.

Now you want me to believe that only illegals will feel threatened by Joe's army. What a crock.

If voters are going to be picked out of the lines by Joe's army, it will be due to a distinctive Hispanic appearance, given that Joe is not concerned about blue-eyed, blond-haired Swedes sneaking over the Mexico-Arizona border.

That is discrimination and it is illegal.

Take it up the judge....people do have the right to carry in this country....just as you have the right to be a pinhead.

They were acting in an intimidating manner, at least one of them, was an the police removed him....did he contest his removal?
I don't give a shit if a voter thinks the color of the doors is intimidating...or that other people in the vicinity make him nervous...we ain't gonna paint the doors or give him a private polling place just because he imagines things....his mental health is his problem.

Now you want me to believe that only illegals will feel threatened by Joe's army. What a crock.

Why would anyone feel threatened by the presence of someone else? the polls have dozens of people present almost constantly....if everyone is acting in a civil manner, there should be no problem....and if the Sheriff is there he can guarantee they act in a civil manner...

Don't you think blond-haired, blue eyed Swedes can be illegal???

That is discrimination and it is illegal.
You bet it is....

I challange all those that are against the idea of being required to show ID before voting, to cross into Mexico or any other Country and try to vote in one of their elections.

Wouldn't it be good for everyone else, if it's good for the US??

Now, the border.

All we hear from people underneath the umbrella, all kinds of lip service on the issue for decades.

But has anything been done?

About 3,500 acres of southern Arizona along the Mexican border is now closed to you.

Our property, closed to you due to increased violence in the region.

Not far from Phoenix, the number two kidnapping capital of the world, in America.

Bogota, Colombia.

The federal government now has just put these signs up. I hope they were paid for with stimulus dollars.

"Danger: public warning. Travel not recommended. Active drug and human smuggling area."

Really, in America?

There is no more rule of law in the borders, and they say that illegals are living in the shadows.

Are they really?

Let's see, they openly protest.

They give interviews to the media.

Now, in Seattle, they are campaigning door-to-door.

You're going to love this story.

Here's a quote from the story on TheBlaze.com.

"When Maria Gianni is knocking on voters' doors, she's not bashful about telling people that she is in the country illegally. The 42- year-old is one of dozens of volunteers, many of them illegal immigrants, canvassing neighborhoods in the Seattle area, trying to get naturalized citizens to cast a ballot for candidates like Democratic Senator Patty Murray, who is in a neck-to-neck race with Republican Dino Rossi."

Perfect!

That initiative, by the way, is led by OneAmerica, a group formerly called Hate Free Zone.

funny how most dems on this board forget the claims and fear mongering of fraud by dems in 04....

On April 19, 2004, John Kerry campaigned in Florida with Senator Joe Lieberman, the 2000 Democratic vice presidential candidate, and vowed — six months before a single ballot was cast, counted or disputed — that he was ready to take the 2004 election to court. "We are going to bring legal challenge to those districts that make it difficult for people to register. We're going to bring challenge to those people that disenroll people," he told a rally. "And we're going to challenge any place in America where you cannot trace the vote and count the votes of Americans. Period!" Democrats plan to have over ten thousand lawyers on the ground in all states this November, ready for action if the election is close and they see a way to contest it.

amazing how quickly people "forget"

tff how the libs ran from this post.....

yep...no big deal when dems do it...but rock on when repubs do it...

tff how you don't say a word about the OP, yet your only whine is when it shows dems do the same thing....

hack much? :)
Voter intimidation is a huge deal, what more do you want? Should I use color like Dixie?

I hear Obama is sending the troops from DOJ out to AZ to monitor the vote....I was disappointed he didn't send the NBP like he did in Phila.

Now voter fraud will be protected by the Dept. of Justice for the first time.
