Voter ID terrifies Democrats

sponge healthcare?

How is it any human being can be mad about poor people being allowed to have medical care even though they can barely afford to eat?

medical care is about life and death.

why do you pretend it is more like being allowed to get cable TV?

Poor people, I think I did say who I mean.

Isn't it interesting that when I say poor you immediately assume minority? Isn't that kinda implying that only minorities are poor? Kinda implying they can't do good work? Isn't that kinda... Racist?

I assumed nothing. So you are saying that all poor people get handouts?

So you are saying that poor people can't provide that identification when they need it to get "benefits"?

Nope. People who already have picture ID aren't affected by the GOPs' new voter suppression laws.

Your post had nothing to do with voter registration laws, please answer in context. So you are saying that poor people can't provide identification when they need it to get "benefits"?

LOL, "context" must be your new buzzword. The thread is about requiring voters to produce ID to exercise their voting rights.

I'm trying to get Failias and Disinclined to clarify their statements regarding "welfare" and "handouts".

That's the context.

Im stating that most of the time when it comes to getting cash people will find a way, when it comes to voting its much easier to say that "I'm being opressed, help me" and have other people solve your problems for you. If it comes to making a quick buck however, americans will walk on lava.* I'd just I'd just like them to use that same ingenuity to get some IDs and vote. Rather than just claim it's racist and insist the laws be changed.

*Actually a patriotic sentiment, there's nobody like americans for scrounging something from nothing.

On a side note YAY I get a mean nickname I'm one of the boys now!! :)

Um... no. You quoted a post and then asked an off-topic question. I am now asking you to elaborate on that point, I therefore asked a question relating to that particular context...

So you are saying that poor people cannot provide identification when they need "benefits"?

Liberals would like everyone who can breathe to be able to cast a ballot. They also hate the Electoral College.

Why does the left hate the Constitution?

Um, no.

My question was not "off-topic" since the thread and OP (context, remember?) are about voter ID.

A couple of your fellow righties apparently think that being required to produce photo ID to vote is no big deal since "poor" people can "find" ID to get "welfare" and "handouts".

Correct. Poor people seem to be able to identify themselves in order to buy cigarettes and alcohol. How about cashing checks? They need to identify themselves. I really don't think there is a problem. You and your pals are making a mountain out of a molehill to justify allowing everyone and anyone to be able to vote. Why don't you just admit it. We aren't that stupid.

You are that stupid.

Voter fraud is rare.

The new ID laws aren't going to change that.

They will erect additional barriers to voting for Americans who are eligible to vote.

So you support burdensome government regulation.
