Virginia R niw has black face

Yet you're on here pushing for someone that hasn't been shown to have done what he's accused of doing to resign while ignoring someone that admitted he was in the picture. Where would your time be better spent.

I'm curious with all the push for people to resign because of wearing blackface why the Democrats continued to vote in Robert Byrd for so many years? You lefties are so concerned with someone wearing blackface yet totally ignored that someone was a leader in the Klan.

why didn't he resign the job?

Hunter has been under fire from protesters at almost every Board of Commissioners meeting since mid-January when reports surfaced about controversial comments he made on social media, including calling U.S. Rep. John Lewis a “racist pig.”
Much of the protesting at the meetings has died down to just a handful of people since the county commission issued a written reprimand of Hunter for comments, which also included calling Democrats “Demonrats” and “Libtards,” in June.

Apparently, in the fairly recent past, young Virginians could be open about their racism and it was OK to display it. Hopefully, Norment has grown out of state racism and sees blacks as people and equals now.

So, he is not in blackface and did not have final say on every page and picture? funny how you refuse to condemn the racists and rapists in your party... instead deflect with this.

What are you saying he did?

and why did you lie in your thread title?

Have you ever condemned the racists on the conservative side? On this thread many of us liberals condemned Northam and want him to step down. https://www.justplainpolitics.com/s...ortham-should-resign!&highlight=ralph+northam

As far as this thread topic, here are pics and an article with the YB authors' viewpoints. Be sure to read what Hedrick wrote.

Again moron... was HE in blackface? Did HE authorize the photos in the yearbook?

He was the managing editor so he had plenty of authority, including the decision on whether or not to include controversial pieces. I'm guessing posting pics of cadets in blackface wasn't considered controversial at the time.

Btw SF, VMI didn't even admit black students until August 1968, what does that say about the school?

No black students or teachers.

That they were like a lot of schools in the south. You do know that is kinda the height of the civil rights era... MLK Jr assassinated in April of 68, Kennedy in June 68. The US military still was predominantly segregated until the late 50's early 60's. Black officers weren't allowed to lead white troops etc...

Again, yes, he had authority. But as stated, there were 7 of them that ran it all. As stated, he didn't personally approve all pages of content or photos. That said, I would agree, at the height of the civil rights era it probably wasn't seen as that big of a deal in the south.
