aug 6 2017 A Virginia high school sent a disturbing letter to parents and students announcing they would be selecting students for Advanced Placement and honors classes at least partly based on skin color, a concerned parent told Fox News.

A parent forwarded me a copy of the letter sent from John Handley High School in Winchester.

“Through our collective work, advanced classes such as AP and Honors will have proportional representation,” read the letter. “Proportional representation is 40% White, 35% Hispanic, 12% African American, 10% mixed race.”

The letter went on to explain that public schools across the country “continue to see outcomes that are disproportionate by race and social class.”

“American demographic trends indicate that America will be a majority minority nation in the next 25 years,” the letter read. “Therefore, the new work of American public schools is to develop systems to address disparate outcomes.”

I don't give a shit one way or another on the policy. I'm making the observation that this racist punk does nothing but sniff around the internet for any racist bullshit he can find. He calls minorities inferior, when he's clearly inferior himself. I'd ask if you support TDAK, but I already know the answer.

If the patrons of that school district don't like the policy, call for the resignations of those who made the decision.

Alternatively, you could have responded "touche". So, you say you are not unsupportive of these measures. Me too. I think they should go ahead and do it and see several things happen. First, the honors students who are able to leave and go to another school will do so. Many students will be given their first chance at honors classes and will unfortunately be unprepared and likely find the process frustrating. Hopefully this will be anticipated and there will be plenty of academic help and resources to direct these students through the system of honors classes. And unfortunately there will be lingering resentment by students who are supplanted from the program due to their skin color. It's so stupid it boggles the mind trying to understand the logic. Glaring hypocricy! How do they not see it?

The article said they still have to take the PSAT for placement eligibility.
