If I have learned anything about politics over my many years it is that voters in general aren’t very ideological. They ALWAYS want change and vote for it.

People make big mistakes over reading election results because they want them to mean more than they do.

Independents, who were curious about Trump's brazen attitude and sick of the "business as usual" politics in DC, went out on a limb and voted for Trump.

They've had an entire year to discover what a total douchebag he really is and you can bet they learned their lesson.

Agree...they aren't loyal, but they're still not coming out against him until he loses his 30% favorability rating. And even than, Bannon has them terrified of a primary challenge.

And you learned that all from retaining a governorship and failing to flip either the state house or senate in a blue state? In a word, delusional. Meanwhile on planet earth Republicans control the Federal House, Senate, Executive, SCOTUS, 36 governerships and 25 governerships along with their corresponding state legislatures. Call me when you actually manage to flip a red state blue the way Trump flipped Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
