Virginia cops pepper-sprayed Black and Latino Army officer

don't presume so much. yes, alot of cops become cops because they want to help people, but NOBODY is going to do that if they face lawsuits and criminal charges for mistakes..........

So no one will want to be a cop if they are held accountable for their fuckups and mistakes?

I've never heard a better argument against law enforcement than that.

Hello Dutch Uncle,

Any normal American would be rightfully concerned seeing two cops screaming at them with weapons drawn in fucking Windsor, VA, population 2,626.

Their threat isn't going to go well for them. There could be criminal charges on one or both of them.

The reason it took so long to fire one of these idiots is because they are two of the few cops the city has. The non-fired one is probably the cousin of the Mayor.

Windsor police officer involved in traffic stop incident terminated following internal investigation

But of course, Gutierrez policing career is far from over. His records will be hidden by the Police Union, and he will soon get a job on the St Louis Police Department, or some other place.

who gets to determine what's a fuckup/mistake???

I'd say a dead, unarmed Black man is determinative of a fuckup.

agreed. I would then have to ask how you think a community protects itself from criminal enterprises/elements??

By creating and sustaining good, well paying jobs so that people don't have to turn desperately to crime. Crime rates ALWAYS PLUMMET when the economy is doing well. So if you want the crime rate to go down, you have to improve the economy.

Now remind me, which one of us opposes raising the minimum wage?

Now remind me, which one of us opposes the GND that would create millions of good paying jobs?

Now remind me, which one of us opposes M4A which would provide everyone with free-at-the-point-of-service health care?

Oh right, YOU OPPOSE ALL THOSE THINGS.

So how is this not just you creating and sustaining a problem in order to complain about it?

but not a dead white person......................makes you a racist

so you know very little about human nature as well as not knowing how government works. got it

Now remind me, which one of us opposes raising the minimum wage?

i'm against driving mom and pops out of business, which is exactly what raising the minimum wage will do. i'll add economics to the list of shit you know nothing about

but not a dead white person

Do I really need to parade all the white mass shooters who were gingerly taken into custody and even given fast food as a treat?

so you know very little about human nature as well as not knowing how government works. got it

What I know is that the crime rate declines when the economy does well.

People are less likely to get into conflict if they are also doing business with one another.

i'm against driving mom and pops out of business, which is exactly what raising the minimum wage will do.

Raising the MW doesn't drive mom and pops out of business.

LOW WAGES DO.

That's why Walmart sustains and smaller businesses do not. If you pay people more money, they are going to spend that money with you.

i'll add economics to the list of shit you know nothing about

You make shit up as you go and rely on outdated, old and incorrect conventional wisdom because you are too afraid of admitting you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

bi'm against driving mom and pops out of business, which is exactly what raising the minimum wage will do.

Who taught you this? Because this isn't true.

You didn't come to this conclusion through an analysis of facts and data...because if you did, you would have posted that shit.

I guess well paid black athletes never commit crimes

Jesus fucking Christ, dude, do you ever put your hood away or do you use it as a napkin when not wearing it?

Hello Nordberg,

These cops were looking for trouble. They had no reason to pull him over or to demand he get it if the car. Blacks know what happens when they comply. What followed showed you.

They claimed the reason was because they could not see a tag. The vehicle had legally tinted windows. A smart cop would have put his spotlight on the back window of the vehicle to look for a temp tag. He would have seen it, run the numbers, known there was no reason for the stop in the first place.

Smart policing diffuses situations.

Dumb policing escalates them.

Because of Navario's very cool actions and professional demeanor, nobody was shot or killed.

Situation could have easily gone downhill very quickly the way the police were wrongly escalating.

Hello Dutch Uncle,

But of course, Gutierrez policing career is far from over. His records will be hidden by the Police Union, and he will soon get a job on the St Louis Police Department, or some other place.

Because he's white?

Not illegally tinted, but nice try. The fact remains it was legally tinted, but it was dark. The tag became visible when he pulled, with flashers on, into the gas station.

Thanks for your hatred of the US military, OCS and support for cops killing African-Americans. It's always nice to know where a person positions themselves in situations like this. You're disrespect for the United States military is interesting.

A police officer in Virginia has been fired after pointing a gun at, and pepper spraying, a black US army lieutenant during a traffic stop.

Not illegally tinted, but nice try.

Bullshit. I live in Florida and I have run illegal tint for 20 years. So do the cops and we Seem to have a tacit agreement not to fuck with each other about it because without it, traveling in this state is pretty miserable even with the AC on high. I can pretty much guarantee that if you decide to play stupid games with the cops, you’ll get a ticket and/or you’ll get the opportunity to remove your tint from the vehicle right there on the spot. Legal or not in Virginia, there is a requirement that the license plate be legible from a certain distance and illuminated at night. That college boy should have known EXACTLY why he was being pulled over.

Your broad brush assumptions of how I feel about the military do not concern me at all. But allow me to make one: you yourself didn’t serve long enough to experience being on a team with a poor leader. I knew three. Not bad for 25 years. One of the absolute best was a young OCS grad who was a crewman on a fishing boat in North Carolina. Best ship handler I’ve ever met.

I don’t give a damn who the cops kill as long as it’s legal, but there seems to be SOOO many opportunities these days for cops to make mistakes. Same thing happens to a white dude that happened to Floyd, I’m gonna laugh my ass off. Why do we always seem to see the black guy engaging in these stupid and risky behaviors? I know for a fact that more white people do it because it’s all over YouTube, and there’s never a city burned and looted in their honor, no lawyers, no multimillion dollar settlements, no cops fired or anything. Fuck ‘em.

Nice rant. I really appreciate the overlapping layers of bullshit.

Your bullshit aside, the facts remain the tint was legal, no charges were filed against Nazario because he didn't do anything wrong, one officer has already been fired for misconduct and I suspect the second might be too. Have a nice day.
