American owners and corporations moved their manufacturing to China a couple of decades ago. Their manufacturing used to be ours. We moved there lock, stock, and intellectual property. The innovator is almost always the manufacturer. They make product changes according to newer information. China is way ahead of us in patents.
They have problems with safety, including in food products and pet food because they have almost no regulation.
Our companies moved for cheap unprotected labor, no product regulation and no environmental regulation. China is suffering from terrible pollution problems because of what we started there.
