Pretty much with such far-reaching legislation that will effect every American forever (or until the demise of the US), I expect a shot at reading analysis of the bill before my Congressman or Senators vote for it so they can hear from their constituency after they are educated. I expect my Congressman to be well-educated so that when I ask him about portions of the bill he can give me an intelligible answer, I expect my Senators to have educated themselves as well and expect questions and have the capacity to explain their positions on each of the portions I have questions on.
In short: I expect them to act and vote responsibly.
Just as I was against any stimulus that was rushed through without input from the constituency. Every time we make "crisis" legislation that has to be passed "NOWNOWNOWNOW" we suck it up very badly. We need to quit it.
