In total, we pollute more than before, but the Industrial Age was close. During the late 1800s and early 1900s, pollution levels were higher in most of the West than they are today.
The difference with Israel is that they actually do support women's rights and gay rights. They also support freedom of religion.
Most of the Islamic World is far more right wing on social issues than any Western conservative. That's why I don't understand the left's tendency to defend Islam. It makes no sense other than to get the votes of the Muslims here.

I guess that depends on the person on the left. The right isn't the side pushing for allowing minors to use hormone blockers, for example. Some on the left do.
I think there's another component at work in the left''s illogical apologism for Islamic theocracy, and it boils down to opposing anything George W. Bush said or did, and everything Donald Trump says or does.
How else to explain the self-proclaimed "champions of human rights" ignoring the excesses of Sharia law by Muslims who oppose diversity in ways that are seemingly repugnant to most self-identified liberals?
Hormone blockers are not "altering" anything. Like I said, they're reversible.
"Allowing minors to do anything to their bodies" would include tattoos and such.
That might be part of it, but I think the identity politics of the left tend to put the Oppression Olympics first.
If you're a minority of some sort, the left will usually back you up, regardless of whether the minority actually shares the left's values or not, which is a self-destructive way to handle things.
Granted, they don't usually make this mistake when the minority is white and heterosexual, however.
It most certainly is altering the body when you use chemicals to postpone puberty. It's also a far cry from tattoos.

Legion seems to think we "on the left" want minors to damage their bodies. That's an odd belief to hold. What's odder is that Legion is ignoring what some people on the right are doing to their children.
I would say that a few scars from tattoo removal are a pretty small deal compared to the potential damage of postponing puberty.
As I mentioned in another post, we already know what endocrine disruptors in other forms do to the body. Logically, it can be assumed that these blockers/disruptors will have negative long term effects.

It does, it's just that because there are far more Muslims in Europe, there are going to be more cases of crime. But per capita, Muslims criminals are still pretty rare. This is why whenever the Right talks about the alleged rape crisis in Europe, they do two things. They cite Fake News sources like Info Wars and Breitbart, and they point to the same real cases over and over. The truth is, there aren't make cases, so all the Right can do is remind us of the same cases.

Yeah, but different blockers have different results. So far, puberty blockers seem fine.
If you follow what's been happening in Sweden, it's pretty easy to see that crime is a very real problem with the Muslims there.
And in Germany, the Cologne New Year's rapes/assaults weren't exactly an anomaly.
It's gotten so bad in Sweden that certain bands won't play there anymore because of sexual assault problems at concerts. That wasn't a significant problem until the massive influx of Afghanis over the last decade.

As the article above notes, part of the problem with assessing any risks of these blockers is that it's a highly contentious political issue. Doctors or institutes that suggest there are problems will undoubtedly face scrutiny from the LGBT lobby.
At this point, this particular lobby has a lot of power.
