It turned out Khan has an economic interest in immigration: he does E2 and EB5 immigration visas---and there's serious money in that.

Hence, my prior point about Khan not being a run of the mill Muslim that manages the corner bagel shop. It's not surprising he backed away from the controversy; since, the optics kind of suck, if you factor in his own economic interest in the immigration status quo.

The amusing aspect is watching the liberals think 'we finally have him! Trump crossed the line this time!' Only to find out the 'victims' have an iron in the immigration fire.

How so has Trump made the Khan's decide they don't want to keep dealing with this? I saw them on the news this morning, they have received a lot of support for standing up against Trump, both from the Republicans and Democrats and now the veterans are coming our against Trump for his treatment of Kahn, I think Trump stepped in it a little further with this issue.

He doesn't blame Trump for his son, he is angry about the statement made by Trump abut his wife and the fact that Trump doesn't think he has the right to speak. Trump is a thinned skinned crybaby, bullies are like that. They can dish it out, but they can't take it.

Where has he backed away from the controversy? He was on TV this morning with his wife, so how is he backing away? I need to see some proof of this claim.

Actually, it is just the opposite.....knowing she had every right to speak, he was asking why she didn't and thinking maybe she wasn't allowed to....either by her husband or the DNC...

i read a news story recently that they want to back out now.

trump isn't thin skinned rana. This is all by design. It's not an accident. Trump is trying to drive up the white vote as much as possible. He was already pretty much dead with muslims. It may or may not work, but it's intentional.
