Venezuala's economy ranks 62nd

That's debatable but you could be right. Having said that, they both use socialized public education institutions (China's is communist). My point remains valid.

Most of our education centers are socialist as well.
I pay school tax but have no children in school, nor will I have any more.
Libertarian view would be you have a kid you pay for it?
Con view would be if you can't afford to educate your children get a better job?

The problem with that is only about 10% of our kids would get educated.

I know I was surprised too.
I've seen two indepth specials on China and both show parents struggling to pay tuition.

That's not quite true Topper. Primary education in China is free while secondary and post secondary education is not. Even though Chinese studens must pay tution for secondary and post secondary education the majority of the cost for public education is borne by the State. So the Chinese public education system is indeed socialized.

China's educational reforms is one of the great miracles of modern times. Just think, China will graduate 450,000 engineers from college this year alone. Thaat's nearly as many engineers as are in the USA.

Mottley, CNBC and CNN have shown such.
I'll go with them over some loser who supports Ohio Slow University.
I'm talking about 10yr old kids not having school cause their parents couldn't afford to pay.
for those of you that love socialist utopia, do some investigation

Well I had to pay tuition at State U and I also has to sit out some terms cause I was strapped for cash, but good ole State U was still a publicly funded college, see my point?

you may be right, but I know they don't have access to free good education by any stretch

Not across the board like we do but it's awe inspiring to think of the massive numbers of Chinese recieving higher education. Like I said, 450,000 graduates in engineering just this year alone. It's gonna be tough to keep up with that.

that is true on the engineers, and thier middle class is exploding.
I also saw on the special that the kids that can afford school, many are getting computer skills and english at a young age.
