As everyone in favor of investigating USAID's spending has said, there are SOME things we do that are beneficial to people suffering from incompetent or corrupt governments that we will continue to support. Of course, the leaders of these countries are living large while their citizens suffer, but we'll pretend otherwise for now.

This is just one of many lists of bullshit spending that most taxpayers never voted for, Congress didn't either, they just foolishly funded them. USAID was not created by Congress either, just an inconvenient little fact for the crooks screaming and hollering because their back-pocket get-rich-quick deals are being cancelled. They're pissed because this DEI thing was a golden payoff scheme that is ruined now.

American influence and power is not just measured by how many bombs and tanks we have

Global soft power is a strategic asset that enhances America's relationships with the global south.

Even Communist China completely understands the value of soft power. They have their own foreign assistance programs to help other countries with environmental conservation and infrastructure.

I donated my money to the private Save the Tiger fund when I worked at ExxonMobil. But that does nothing specifically to build a relationship between our government and governments of the developing world

Even if you hate tigers, these kind of efforts build relationships between the United States and India. And in the face of the challenge of Communist China, India has the potential to be America's most valuable partner in Asia and a strategic counterbalance to china

This is from a viral email that I have seen many times, its accepted by Trumppers, but no evidence there is an ounce of truth to it.
