US steel drops plan for $1.5 billion plant

Stupidity like this thread is great, they may gain numbers from the goofball bigoted hate groups with the moral attribute of a rock and the mental capacity of a brick but every patriot and people who have the capacity to think will run away from these clowns like they are the plague. Just read this nonsense.

Well, I know that stuff because I did it for a living. While I didn't and don't do a lot of concrete work I do enough to know the rules on it. I even own one of these:

https://www.grainger.com/product/43...44f9ef5a57f31c3aecc08fce4e322e3d&gclsrc=3p.ds

You don't plop down $500 + for a tool if you don't use and need it...
Inspectors have someone look at the rebar as it's being unloaded, they don't waste time looking at ties unless it's a noob. I've seen concrete so wavy they had to delay the project and level it the best they could. We work with what we have.

Nope. None ever were...

Exactly! The original Cobras were skinned out of aluminum, and most of the KIT cars were skinned out of Plastic!

SO you think this was a bad idea?

This actually gave the Cobra an advantage on the race track- over their competition!

Most of the Continuations are fiberglass as well. The originals were hand fabricated out of aluminum. Kirkham also makes them out of aluminum.

Not all are "kit cars." My Cobra was factory build in AL. by Unique Motorcars.

I believe auto skins will all soon be made out of Carbon Fibrous materials.

Most High End Sports cars are already leading the way!

Modern unibody motorcars crush by design to protect the passengers, but in so doing, they get totaled with the slightest tap.

They may as well be made of crystal.

Modern requirements have totally emasculated the auto industry.

And I can't wear my fedoras with those motherfucking tall head restraints.

Specifically, MULTINATIONAL corporations (iow, Demonkkkrat allies).

Corporations themselves aren't the problem. There are many good corporations out there. The problem is multinational corporations (such as Delta Airlines, Coca Cola, Twitter, Google, Facebook, etc). They do not like capitalism because under capitalism they do not have control over financial outcomes. Capitalism breeds competition, and they do not like nor want any competition. They do not want a free market; they want a controlled market where they are in control. They pay off their allies in government (both Democrats and Republicans alike) to do their bidding.

Multinationals are proponents of communism, globalism, and Wall Street [think "ruling class" and Gates/Rockefeller/etc]. They are enemies of capitalism, nationalism, and Main Street [think "working class" and other people like you and I].

Corporations are getting ready for the day when the Empire rules the world, because the West is dying, there is no longer anyone who could possibly stop them....not many even want to try.

Do you have any idea how much carbon fiber panels cost?

Do you remember how much Televisions used to cost? My first digital TV cost me about $2500.

Today you can by a 70 inch SMART TV for $500!

As things become mass produced they get cheaper and cheaper.

Just the way things are!

Yep. My Plasma cost me $2500. Nothing in your suggested price range can come close to matching the picture quality.
I bought a nice 50" for my bedroom for $500, no comparison to my ZT60.

That is true, and hi-end sports cars have carbon fiber bodies, but look at what those cars cost. Those prices aren't coming down.

Of course you're comparing TV technological advancements. Carbon fiber is cutting edge tech.

I don't know without checking but, I would think that Graphite stocks are on the rise.

Tesla is using a lot of it in their cars of the future. I'm sure that the price will go down as more and more manufactures start using Graphite to replace steel parts.

Some conventional manufactures are already using Graphite to make driveshafts and other mechanical parts!

Yes, my $2500 Plasma TV started losing horizontals after only 4 years. They wanted like $700 to replace the part that went bad. That TV weighed like 150 lb's!

I just set it out to the curb and some idiot picked it up in about 5 minutes! LOL!

I've heard that some driveshafts are being made out of graphite materials. I don't know if I'd trust them just yet with a hi-HP engine.
Of course, the F1 boys have all the hi-tech advancements...

This was not a new plant. It was an upgrade to an existing one. It was going to do environmental upgrades. They may have figured the reds will be in control after 2022 and they will not have to do them.

I think Stealth and Space technologies have advanced us. Notice that no other Country including Russia can match us there so far.

I would love to see a car that would not be detectable on radar! Could even be a little fun!

It's nice to know that America is not behind in all technologies.

I'm with businesses creating jobs. That's a business that creates good paying jobs.

I sure as hell ain't with you.

I 100% support Range Resources planting one of these right next to your little slice of paradise. Don't come here complaining if they do.
