US Senate moves to punish Saudi primitives.

When I was there in 2000 the Saudis had already moved all their villages back from the Yemen border by 20 kilometers and begun developing a security wall on the border..

I am sure they are at their wits end.. They have spent billions on humanitarian aid to Yemen building hospitals, schools, clinics and colleges and investing in job creation.. But, the Houthis, Al Qaeda and Boko Haram have other plans fighting each other, the Yemeni people and attacking the Saudis.

Oh the Saudis never had much in terms of wits to lose hon, next you'll try to tell us our goal is to "help" militarily around the world.

Yemen's children starve as war drags on
About 2.2 million children suffer from malnutrition across Yemen, making them vulnerable to illnesses such as diarrhoea.

The US supports 3/4s of the world's military dictatorships, that's just who we are. And we support their right to take out critical journalists which isn't much of a stretch at all given our persecution of truth tellers ourselves like Snowden, Assange and Manning. Birds of a feather.

You probably should take that up with Iran and the Houthis and the other jihadi groups in Yemen.

6 years ago 500 factories closed in Yemen and their oil production collapsed from sabotage of wells and pipelines.

So you have nothing but deflection?

The US is invested in the economic colonization of the middle east. Same as it ever was.

That's a stupid thing to say, Jack.. The Saudis want them to stay out of KSA and not control the Red Sea via the Bab al Mandab.

That's what it's all about, control of access to the Canal. Saudi and the West should be content with having Aden.

You don't know what you are talking about.. Look at a map for God's sake.

We all know America is the greatest threat to world peace, and that it will be in multiple endless generational wars (the military's term mind you) until the empire goes down. It's just who we are.

There are a bunch of ports on the Red Sea that don't use the Suez Canal.

The Suez Canal is too small for any of the supertankers.

The US sees itself as the arbiter of all things and as such is willing to scarifice it's own society to control the middle east and its resources. Same as it ever was, same as what the capitalist euros came to america for.

Yeah. And your point?
The Strait is the 'choke-point' to access to the Red Sea and the Canal. It's a global fight over control of the 'choke-point'. The West and KSA should be happy with control of Aden (South Yemen).

" "Suezmax" is a naval architecture term for the largest ship measurements capable of transiting the Suez Canal in a laden condition, and is almost exclusively used in reference to tankers."
Lager Tankers unload their oil at a SUMED Pipeline.

None of the oil tankers built since 1967 will fit thru the canal.. They all go south thru Bab al Mandab.

The bab al Mandab and Straits of Hormuz are international waters open to sea traffic and NOT the property of Iran or anyone else..

This is SUMED:

What resources do the US control in the middle east?

The Saudis don't control Hormuz or Bab al Mandab.. nor does Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan etc. What are you trying to say here?
