Despite the desperate demthug/fake news attempts to talk us into a recession ....Trumpenomics is SMOKIN' !

US economy grew more than expected in 3rd quarter

The U.S. economy expanded more than economists expected over a recent three-month period, recording robust growth despite concerns about sluggish hiring and cash-strappped shoppers, federal government data on Tuesday showed.

The U.S. economy grew at an annualized rate of 4.3% in the third quarter in the government's initial estimate, marking an acceleration from 3.8% growth recorded in the previous quarter.
A boost in consumer spending helped propel the economic surge in gross domestic product (GDP) over three months ending in September, the U.S. Commerce Department said. Consumer spending, which accounts for about two-thirds of U.S. economic activity, is a key bellwether for the outlook of the nation's economy.

The GDP reading stemmed in part from a rise in exports and a drop-off in imports, which may have resulted from tariffs issued earlier this year by President Donald Trump.

~ The strong economic growth in the third quarter appeared to defy fears about the sluggish labor market, which some observers have viewed as a warning sign for the wider economy.

Lets watch and see what happens next quarter Walmart is finally going to raise their prices 45% and stop eating Trumps tariffs.
And in some cases already has started raising their prices.
And if they do you can bet a lot of the other retailers will be doing the same. and I would not put it past some to add on a percent or two to pad their bottom line.

Hmmmm, not bad at all... In my prediction thread (initially for Q2, but I also continued it into Q3), I had guessed (almost two months before today) that Q3 GDP would be above 4% (probably 4.5%) ... It turns out that I did a pretty good job TWO MONTHS AGO if the final result was 4.3% :)

In fact, I had even thought about bumping my initial prediction upward (from 3.5% to 4.5%) THREE months ago.

Then these stupid fake news outlets always use the words "grew more than expected".....

Tbird is STILL "crying wolf" about tariffs increasing prices? :rofl2:
And when this does happen don't cry about it,
Walmart has come out and told you they are raising prices by 45% by the end of the year or so.

Walmart raises prices by 45% in 30 days due to ‘magnitude of the tariffs’

Something unusual is happening at Walmart. This week, shoppers and workers are spotting big price hikes on toys, groceries, and everyday items.
Enjoy.

Why do people like you seem to want to WISH bad times on our country just to hurt the current political leadership? It is a TERRIBLE look to be so partisan that you hate the President MORE then you love your countrymen. You should ALWAYS want good economic news no matter which party is in power. People like you suck badly.

And why don't you show us some posts where people are wishing people harm and to be getting hurt by prices increasing?
I have never post have posted one and don't know of anybody that has.
Pointing out that the price of just about everything we buy will be going up because of Trumps tariffs is not wishing people harm.
Prices going up 45% or so is going to hurt a LOT of Americans a lot of MAGAS included.

From Google AI:

The U.S. economy showed unexpectedly strong growth in Q3 2025, with real GDP jumping 4.3%, its best performance in two years, driven by robust consumer spending, increased exports, and government outlays, though signs of unevenness and rising inflation suggest underlying pressures, with potential Q4 slowdown concerns. This strong showing, released after a government shutdown delay, contrasts with some negative sentiment but reflects powerful summer momentum in areas like services, AI investment, and a smaller trade deficit.
Key Highlights of Q3 2025 Growth:

  • GDP Growth: 4.3% annualized rate (vs. 3.8% in Q2), significantly beating forecasts.
  • Consumer Spending: Rose 3.5%, fueled by services (healthcare, travel) and goods, showing resilience.
  • Exports: Rebounded strongly, contributing to growth.
  • Government Spending: Increased, particularly defense spending.
  • Inflation: Heated up, with the PCE index accelerating.
  • Business Investment: Continued in equipment/AI, but structures and residential investment lagged.
