FWIW, I doubt Putin would live much longer than to give the launch or attack order. Either action only produces losers, no winners. It would only assuage the ego of a madman. Russia's Oligarchs and military leaders would be among the losers.

Putin had decided to invade long before Biden got wind of it. Putin believes Ukraine is part of Russia, and has openly said so. He does not think their sovereignty is legitimate.

It's not up to Biden to demand Ukraine give up its land to Putin. That is a decision for Ukranians.
