Well IF you had read what people were saying on here I and H10 have said it takes YEARS to build factories and build machines and train people to make goods.
Heck I worked in the auto industry and have seen where it can take 6 to 8 months just to install a production line and that is with bringing in most of the welding machines and setting them up.
I don't see anybody on here saying it can be done instantly for " instant gratification'

And one more thing IF you would do some reading of the news you would see it is Trump and the MAGA that are saying we could set up factories and start making a lot of things in the US almost right away.
Well there could be some businesses up and running in a year or so because there are some factories that are standing empty but they still would have to install machines and train people and a lot of the new " jobs " will be done by robot and AI.
If they have to build a factory , and machines then install them , train people it would take several years, heck putting up a big factory would take a couple of years alone.

Trump and his moron followers think we can bring all manufacturing back and have it up and running in no time well that isn't how it works.
And putting tariffs on as high as what Trump says he is going to do is just going to drive up prices and that will lower sales and profits for the American manufacture , many of them need to import parts and materials from other countries , and people will not have the money to buy American made products and these companies will have a drop in sales and will have to cut back laying off people it is ALREADY happening in several sections of our economy, Autos, Washing machines, dryers , refrigerators. Housing. and more.

We have leveled most of our manufacturing. To start over requires acquiring land, obtaining numerous permits, and undertaking extensive design and civil engineering. Meanwhile, all the tooling has to be designed and built. The installation is a long, expensive process too. Millwrights have to install the equipment. Then, workers have to be hired and trained.
Of course, the owners and manufacturers moved the businesses abroad. They like the cheap unpriootected workers and no environmental regulations. Trump does too. He is working on making America like that.
