Riots continue to rage outside the US Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, where anger against the America's support of Israel in its fight against Hamas is surging.

The rioters set fire the embassy last night and continued to hurl fireworks towards it this morning in an ongoing protest against the US, following a call from Hezbollah - Lebanon's Islamist militant party - for an 'unprecedented day of rage.'

All non-essential State Department staff have been told to leave the city, and a level four travel advisory has been issued to all Americans advising against travel to Lebanon.
