US Economy, Stocks Will Grow Faster Than Many Think: ING

While I agree there is a lot of growth potential in green tech, the sector is not ready to take off to that extent in the next couple of years.

kinda like tech wan't a decade ago,
gov subsidies will get it ready, maybe not the most efficient way but the dollars will flow.

tech is installed now and will propell us out of this recession.

The Tech that led us into the boom of the 90's began in the 80's. It slowly built up steam and then rolled after the recession of 90/91. Green tech is at a similar point that tech was in the late 80's. The technology is almost there (in terms of economic viability), but not quite ready to take off. It is not going to see a big boom begin in the next six months. So it will NOT be leading us out of this mess anytime soon. That was my point.

As far as Tech leading us out... what new tech has that growth capacity? Not saying it doesn't exist for sure, but I am unaware of any new tech that has that capability.

What we need is to decentralize the entire society.

I foresee a big boom in home gardening and electricity creation units.

Destroy the grid, and reap the dollars!

Top... I have had internet capabilities on my phone for years. While they will certainly improve upon the technology, this is not some new wave that will carry the growth of the economy as a whole.

The internet sector has indeed been one of the top three sectors this year. Emerging markets and Precious metals being the other two. But the difference between tech now and tech at the start of the 90's is that the 90's boom saw the advancement of the internet, broadband, telecom, biotech, computer tech, etc...

All of those are established now. There is room for growth, but it is not in its rapid expansion any more.
