The senator from Florida, who bowed out of the Republican presidential race after his home state primary, sent a letter asking the Alaska GOP not to release his pledged delegates before the national convention.

His missive to GOP Chairman Peter Goldberg contained an awkward faux pas – he referred to the 172 delegates he won while running for the highest office in the “Untied States.”
