Unlike Biden and Obama, Trump skipped attending church on the holiest day in the Christian calendar

Trump pretends to be a faithful Christian, he holds upside down bibles for photo ops, and he cynically uses the language of Christianity to appeal to white evangelicals.
He caters to White Christian Nationalists, who are not Christians at all.

I prefer that there is no hypocrisy. You mentioned Pharisees and going quietly. And yet as you can see in the picture they weren't being quiet.

And didn't Trump hold up the Bible at a church? That's not going quietly.

At least be consistent and not mock those of faith.

Trump Secretly Mocks His Christian Supporters

Former aides say that in private, the president has spoken with cynicism and contempt about believers.

One day in 2015, Donald Trump beckoned Michael Cohen, his longtime confidant and personal attorney, into his office. Trump was brandishing a printout of an article about an Atlanta-based megachurch pastor trying to raise $60 million from his flock to buy a private jet. Trump knew the preacher personally—Creflo Dollar had been among a group of evangelical figures who visited him in 2011 while he was first exploring a presidential bid. During the meeting, Trump had reverently bowed his head in prayer while the pastors laid hands on him. Now he was gleefully reciting the impious details of Dollar’s quest for a Gulfstream G650.

Trump seemed delighted by the “scam,” Cohen recalled to me, and eager to highlight that the pastor was “full of shit.”

“They’re all hustlers,” Trump said.

Well there you go. He has been pretending.

Why doesn't he admit to being an atheist heathen, rather than cynically lying about being a committed Christian?
Because he identifies as a nondenominational Christian...(atheism is the absence of belief in deities....and no belief in God... Clearly he believes in God...)

Because he identifies as a nondenominational Christian!
That's not an excuse to not attend church. There are thousands of nondenominational congregations in this country, I've been to some of them myself.

He's obviously lying, just like you, about being a committed Christian. He never attends church, doesn't show the slightest interest in striving for an ethical life, doesn't show the slightest interest in being a witness for Christ.

Agreed on all points. Like all JPP MAGAts, he claims to be a Christian, but never acts like one.

Church attendance isn't necessary... Your faith is what is important... If you're lucky enough to find a wonderful church in your area That's awesome... but not mandatory...

Trump is a non believer. He thinks he is god. He has never attended church, except when cameras were around, according to his niece. He absolutely flubbed the Bible questions, showing he never read it or cared to. His only talent is being a conman who knows how to play the suckers. It has been very effective. There are more people seeking the end of the world than I thought. Trump may deliver it.

Church attendance isn't necessary!
That's your way of saying you are too lazy and unmotivated to be a committed Christian, a witness for Jesus, because you would rather be here posting non-stop Sunday mornings.

Paul clearly taught that the committed Christian needed to participate in the body of Christ (the church), and to commit to Christian fellowship and communion. He did not want Christians to isolate themselves and just sit at home.
