are you on medicare?
Yup
are you on medicare?
false equivalence
so based upon this, national healthcare would make medical expenses even more expensive........how is that better?
Providing a service in return for government pay. How is border patrol, teacher, or doctor not equivalent in providing that service?
Depends on how they do it. Medicare is not at all efficient. Competitive bidding to buy their products and supplies would save billions.
then i'll tell you the same thing I told owlwoman............good luck with it. your anecdotal pleasant experience with it doesn't take away the nightmare it is for others.
I have experienced zero problems, zero issues with Medicare. I can see any doctor any specialist I want without prior authorization, anywhere in there country. If a physician says I need a test or procedure then its done, no complications. I surely dont need to wait for an insurance company to approve any procedure that my doctor says that I need.
i'm not inclined to believe you about this........
f you are on Medicare your reply js pure bullshit.
Thats because you know shit about the Medicare system.
Nope. Just had to make an extra trip (200 miles roundtrip) this week to see the Nurse Practitioner (for 10 minutes) before getting the medical procedure after just seeing the doctor who recommended it. They said it is a Medicare requirement.
The doctor who does my arthritis knee injection wanted to move up from steroids to use "rooster juice" (hyaluronic acid) had to get approval first from Medicare.
one CHOOSES to go in to law enforcement, or become a teacher........but DOCTORS are not currently working for the government. It's a PRIVATE occupation, unless you're HIRED by the government and CHOOSE to work for it. What is being offered here with national healthcare regulated entirely by government is removing said doctors from private sector and forcing them to become public servants at reduced compensation....i.e. slaves.
Thats pure bull shit, dont bother to respond, your posts are full of shit.
i'm not inclined to believe you about this........
Doctors are not forced to take Medicare or Medicaid. Many will not accept new patients on those plans.
"MACPAC found that only 71% of providers accept Medicaid. That’s compared to 85% who take Medicare and 90% that accept private insurance.

Yep, supplemental plans run by private insurers make up the difference between what Medicare covers and what it doesn't. Judging by the annual bombardment of advertising, emails, and snail mail solicitations we get every year, there is big BIG money in providing these supplemental plans. So if we did adopt a national Medicare-for-all kind of insurance coverage, private insurance firms would not go out of business.
Medicare Advantage is not traditional Medicare, its just a scam.
who paid the doctors, surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other various people involved in that emergency surgery? where did that money come from?
I used to travel extensively throughout Canada on business. They like the fact that they don't pay for what they get, but they wish what they got was a lot better, and definitely more timely. If it's not life threatening, you wait...
