The U.S. unemployment rate reached 3.7 percent in September, the lowest recorded since December 1969.

Wonder why the op didn't link to the reporting---could it be that the real unemployment rate actually went up? Could it be that job growth was lower than expected? Could it be that 74K people left the labor force?

Will you be angry if the OP is right?

There cannot be a lot of job growth when there are already more jobs than unemployed people. What is "real unemployment rate?"

I know it reached the lowest level, just as I know that the real unemployment rate went up, job growth was lower than expected, and 74K people left the labor force. I don't cherry-pick data.

As for the wall is coming nonsense, it is nonsense. Republicans aren't going to waste tens of billions on a wall they otherwise could give away as tax breaks.

That it is 7.5% for September not 7.1%

7.5% is the seasonally adjusted rate and 7.1% is not seasonally adjusted.

Seasonally adjusted:
Sept 2017: 8.3%
May 2018: 7.6%
June 2018: 7.8%
July 2018: 7.5%
Aug 2018: 7.4%
Sept 2018 7.5%

It was up 0.1% from August but down 0.8% from a year ago and down from early summer. And down from previous years:

Sept 2017: 7.5%
Sept 2016: 9.7%
Sept 2015: 10.0%
Sept 2014: 11.7%
Sept 2013: 13.5%
Sept 2012: 14.8%
Sept 2011: 16.4%

Sept 2018 7.5%

Sept 2017: 7.5%
Sept 2016: 9.7%
Sept 2015: 10.0%
Sept 2014: 11.7%
Sept 2013: 13.5%
Sept 2012: 14.8%
Sept 2011: 16.4%

See what you want to see. Doesn't bother me one way or the other. Today I saw two headlines. One said "Dow Down Despite Strong Jobs Report" and another that said "Dow down due to weak jobs report" or something along those lines.

I don't want to see anything in particular. You said "real unemployment" is up and I didn't understand what that meant. You said U-6 and when I looked that up that is what I found. It was up from August, but generally it has declined.

Don't you know Obama did all this. Why, companies LIKE having the highest Business taxes in the world, and they like having massive regulations. Why, the companies that actually said they were giving bonuses and raises specifically because of Trump's tax cuts were lying. The ones who said they were coming back to the US specifically because of the Tax cuts were also lying. Why, opening up our energy to use for our people had no impact, lol. Yeah, it was Obama.

Then my statement that real unemployment is up in the latest jobs report has been shown to be correct.

The fitting analogy here is that Trump is the third string quarterback who was asked to relieve the starter late in the 4th quarter to protect and babysit a 31 point lead.
