UN votes to condemn Vlad's aggression

I corresponded 30 minutes ago with a friend of mine in Kiev who is huddled in a bomb shelter with her friends while Vlad's army shells the city.

I am not interested in your attempt to spit hairs to imply that China's abstention was a moral victory for Dear Vlad.

What about the other 35 countries ? Don't count for anything ?

Here is the full voting list on the UN Resolution:

Interesting that among those who condemned Putin's aggression were ISRAEL and SERBIA (a traditional Russian ally since Tsarist times).

Russia's client states from former USSR (Kazakhstan etc) all abstained. None supported Russia.

So representatives of over half of the world's population abstained and five countries voted against.

So- 40 countries do not condemn Russia. 22% of the vote- but most of the world.

' Worldwide support for NATO ' is a load of old bollox, isn't it.

No, it's simply illegal- just like those of the US. Although war itself is immoral Russia's reasons for it are not.

No 'change of tune ' here, incidentally.

Absolutely your tune has incrementally changed in the past 6 days. The tone and tenor went from triumphant rationalization of this immoral war on day one, to dialing it down to tepid whataboutisms concerning the Iraq war.

Good to see you changing your tune.

Yes, Putin's war is illegal, immoral, and criminal

A few days ago you were toasting it as fully justified and warranted.

Putin does not have a care in the world as his ill-gotten gains are protected. It will be the people of Russia who suffer. And btw...China is so far head of the USA in technology and infrastructure that if I gave a shit about this corrupt country anymore, I'd be incredibly embarrassed.

You're mistaken. I've defended Russia's moral position- not a war - and the ' whataboutism ' was references to dozens of illegal American/NATO invasions and wars, several involving the destruction of entire states. No change of tune from me. NATO= bad aggressor.
