Ukraine's counteroffensive routing Russian forces

In a couple of days Xi and Putin will meet. What to do about Ukraine will surely be at the top of the list.

To date, the similarities with ' The Battle of the Bulge ' are evident;

Similar but far from the same. Germany by that winter was literally and figuratively running out of gas, while Ukraine is energized. Besides, "history doesn't repeat itself" isn't just an old saw; it's a correct observation.

It's incorrect. We repeatedly vote for dumbasses, for example.

Let's see if the outcome of the Ukrainian push mirrors that of the Third Reich.

Doubt you will see in your mirror Ukrainian tanks running out of gas or Russian aircraft finally turning the tide because a long period of cloud cover has finally cleared. Nothing in history is ever the same.

Hello Cypress,

Ukraine’s lightning advance near Kharkiv leaves Russian forces in disarray

Moscow acknowledges it has pulled back from the strategic towns of Izyum and Kupyansk

Ukrainian forces enter key city of Izium in a sign Kyiv's new offensive is working

(CNN)When Ukrainian forces entered the city of Izium Saturday, it was more than a major military victory. It was a sign the war in Ukraine might be entering a new phase, one in which Russian troops are scrambling to hold onto the territory they captured over the past six months.

Russian forces were forced to flee the strategic eastern city just five days after Ukrainian forces began a new offensive eastward through the Kharkiv region.

"Russians escaped and left weapons and ammo behind. City center is free," a spokesperson for the Bohun Brigade of the Land Forces of Ukraine said in a statement Saturday afternoon.

So glad to see it.

Another feather in Joe Biden's cap!

Sometimes, delayed gratification is ... well ...

Oh, just wait for it. You'll see.

And it will be a fabulous future.

I'm simply pointing out similarities. The outcome is tomorrow's news.

I just listened to VDH say that he thinks that Russia will go to tactical nukes.

I wonder if a couple of American LNG terminals get blown up.

Victor David Hansen? The guy who was catastrophically wrong about the need and wisdom of invading Iraq?

The newsreels I've seen of ' abandoned Russian military equipment ' features rusted tanks with weeds growing under them.

You saw a newsreel? I thought they stopped playing those in the early 1960's... At least in America. What country are you in that they are showing newsreels before movies?

Just a term, dumbass - like ' video footage '. Still, your pettiness exposes the gap in your head.

How old are you that you are still talking about newsreels? It has been about 70 years since it has been a big thing. To have learned that expression as an adult... That makes you 90 or 100? Maybe it was different in whatever country you come from.

We've already dealt with your petulance over this expression. You lost. ' Newsreels ', ' Video footage ' are outdated but still used. Still, if you fancy another semantic joust, I'm your gal. Saddle up.

If you read Xi's book, the answer is clear. If someone comes to you asking for help in a war they are losing, they are not the winners of the war, and you should stay far away from them.

Xi is working on a railroad to get to Europe and bypass Russia. Putin is humiliated over it. It will be a sad meeting for Putin.

Hanson is one of the dumbest people in America. It was Hanson you are talking about?

If Russia shoots a tactical nuke at the Ukraine, literal and figurative fallout will hit many other countries. It would be the end of Putin.

Attacking the USA would mean war with the USA. That would be a disaster for Putin.

It is possible Putin will do anything, but none of what Hanson is claiming makes sense actually does make sense.

The Russian special forces were unable to capture the Kyiv airport. The Ukrainians literally wiped them out, easily. The Russian air force cannot bomb Ukrainians directly, because Ukrainian air defenses are so good. Russians have proven to not have the ability to project their power even 100 miles from the border to Kyiv. Russian ships are cowering in their ports.

How exactly do they attack LNG terminals in America?
