What is going on w/ the UK building an anti-Muslim wall in France?? Will they eventually send them back??

Dubbed the "Great Wall of Calais" by some media, the 4m (13ft) wall will run for 1km (0.6 miles) along both sides of the main road to Calais port.

Home Office minister Robert Goodwill said security was being "stepped up" as migrants continue to try to board vehicles heading to Britain.

But a lorry drivers' group called the wall a "poor use" of public money.

Work is expected to start this month, with the wall due to be finished by the end of the year.

Numerous fences have been built to protect the port, the Eurotunnel terminal and train tracks on the other side of Calais, and the BBC understands the wall will not replace any of those.

The government refused to confirm the cost of the wall, but reports suggest a £1.9m price tag - to be paid for out of £17m announced by David Cameron earlier this year.

It is to stop illegal migrants throwing rubbish, using chainsaws and intimidating car and lorry drivers. They want to get onto the ferries and are totally ruthless. Did you also see that the French drivers have blocked a main autoroute to force the French government to close down the so called Jungle.

Are you kidding? They mainly come from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Africa. The vast majority throw away their documents to make it harder to be sent back. Anyway how do you send people back to countries that are virtually lawless anyway?

There is always somalia.........

So they essentially are blackmailing the British ppl into giving them a home..... They want to go there, so they have a right to, & the Brits have the obligation to help them.......

They have no right whatsoever if they are economic migrants rather than genuine refugees and if they are genuine asylum seekers then they should seek sanctuary in the first safe country. I suggest that you read up about the Dublin Agreement 1991.
