Same 'evidence' as WMD in Iraq.

The truth is that Assad was and still is winning the war. There was absolutely no need for him to use chemical weapons.

BERLIN — Syrian President Bashar Assad has repeatedly rejected requests from his field commanders for approval to use chemical weapons, according to a report this weekend in a German newspaper.

The report in Bild am Sonntag, which is a widely read and influential national Sunday newspaper, reported that the head of the German Foreign Intelligence agency, Gerhard Schindler, last week told a select group of German lawmakers that intercepted communications had convinced German intelligence officials that Assad did not order or approve what is believed to be a sarin gas attack on Aug. 21 that killed hundreds of people in Damascus’ eastern suburbs.

Well, why would field commanders repeatedly request to use chemical weapons if they didn't need to use them? That strikes me as particualrly odd.

And what that report says is that Assad didn't approve of or order the use of chemical weapons, not that Assad's forces did not use them or that the rebels did use them. In fact, the report appears to dovetail with reports from US intelligence officials that it intercepted communications from Syrian Ministry of Defense officials to a chemical weapons unit demanding to know why chemical weapons were depolyed.

What that report says is that no one knows who ordered that attack or where it came from.

"Assad did not order or approve what is believed to be a sarin gas attack on Aug. 21"

If Obama's proof is so conclusive, why is he standing alone?

He's been outplayed BIG TIME on the world stage and come away looking like the fool.
 
Regardless of what strikes some as 'odd' regarding either side, there is no conclusive proof of which of the bad actors used the WMD.
 
guess who had gas masks delivered to their troops right before the attacks?

Guess where and who the gas strikes hit?


guess who they just watch load and fire the same type of weapons that were used?

My guess is, "they had been warned that the rebels were about to use the chem weapons, so they handed out the gas masks."
