GUANTÁNAMO BAY, Cuba — The U.S. military on Saturday delivered to Algeria a prisoner whose repatriation from Guantánamo Bay was arranged during the Obama administration but then delayed for five years.

The prisoner, Sufyian Barhoumi, 48, was captured in Pakistan in March 2002 and soon taken to Guantánamo Bay, where he never faced trial. He was notified in August 2016 that he was eligible for release, but his case was sidelined by a Trump administration policy that generally halted transfers.

This is why they hate us.

Remember when under the Shrub about 500 "detainees" were released from Gitmo with NO declarations of innocence, NO apologies, NO reparations in any form. These men were held FOR A FEW YEARS, during which their families back home were bankrupt and/or dispersed.

And people wonder how the likes of the Taliban and Al Qaeda and Hamas were able to recruit so easily.

Dump stupidly continued the Shrub's policy, because God forbid the propaganda stop and the right wing admit they screwed up.

Too bad. Let’s go Brandon!
They’ll always hate us. Too bad you love them. But that’s to be expected.

Actually thinking they are people just like we are. What would you think if you were him or his family? I do not judge them from afar. Every person should be judged with the same standards until they prove otherwise.

He gave up his humanity when he chose to become a terrorist. He’s subhuman ASAIC.

Really? And you base this on what, right wing clairvoyance? What you heard from the Fox Noise talking heads?

He didn't have a trial, Moosie....so there's no record that he was guilty of anything other than being swept up in a dragnet that just required anonymous finger pointing or being associated/friends with "persons of interests" (turned over for a finders fee, don't cha know). Guilt by association can't even get you arrested in America, Moosie. This man didn't have a trial. Deal with it.

Can you understand not tried? No trial ever. If you followed what was going on when Bush did a Putin to Iraq and the middle east, you would know they were taking anyone they were told was a terrorist to Gitmo. Many people turned in people they did not like or just people for the rewards we offered.
Who is inhumane in this equation?...You are
