I haven't kept up with the diesel cost this month, as I haven't gassed up yet this month.

But, I remember how high diesel was just last month. It was still up over 5 or 6 bucks a gallon at Kroger.

Driving the Big one was my last career! I drove a FREIGHTLINER and reefer for Lisa Motor Freight Co. for 3 years nationwide and basically retired. Then I did local deliveries in a Big INTERNATIONAL flatbed straight truck for an electrical supply company we all know well here in DFW- GRAYBAR!

I had to adapt to the new Department of Public Safety procedures where you had to pull over and clean the catalytic convertor for 30 minutes randomly.

Truck driving got to be a pain in my ass to be honest! Logs were a pain in the ass- the 36 hour restarts- the living in the Truck- The never being home- the inspections- the axle moves and the trailer drops in the freezing slush and snow! The fact that they can work you around the clock but you can only make money while you are driving part- most of the time sitting around waiting your time to deliver!

As per usual, he did nothing. He did force production cuts in order to increase price/buy votes, but that too failed re. the latter.
