The Russian meddling angle has been around for months. Today's news is that a link was found to Putin himself. Evan McMullin said the GOP has always known about this but chose not to stand up.
McMullin said Republicans are now "sticking their heads in the sand on this issue as they did during the campaign."
"I will tell you, this is not a new issue," he said.
"They knew during the campaign that this was happening and they chose not to say anything because they knew it would harm them politically. That is the issue, the sacrifice of principle for power, the sacrifice of the country's interests for the party's interests."

That's why it needs to be investigated to the fullest extent.
I have no reason to believe Assange. He hates and fears the US because he believes if he's extradited he'll face espionage or other criminal charges. He hates Hillary and her foreign policy positions. He also thought she'd go after his organization if she became president, because she condemned his leaks.
Assange was never my darling and I'm pretty far left.
I don't believe Assange because he's not neutral.

Ironically, Assange understands the value of journalistic integrity more than many journalists do. He seems to take pride in his 'product': Wiki has an excellent track record of being accurate. It would be out of character for Assange to lie and it makes no sense for him to.
Because as soon as he is caught, Wiki becomes irrelevant as a source.
