U.S. judge orders discovery to go forward over Clinton’s private email system

A federal judge on Tuesday ruled that State Department officials and top aides to Hillary Clinton should be questioned under oath about whether they intentionally thwarted federal open records laws by using or allowing the use of a private email server throughout Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.

According to Zappasguitar this controversy is false and going away. Is he right? :dunno:

I hope they grill Hillary and Huma like a sausage. And if that happens and the verdict is that no crime was committed, will cons accept that decision?

Hillary Clinton could see a subpoena coming her way after a federal court ruling related to her private email server.

A D.C. federal judge granted a motion for discovery filed by Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group that is suing the U.S. State Department for records related to Clinton’s time as secretary of state, FoxNews.com reported.

It means that Hillary Clinton's aides, such as longtime top staffer Huma Abedin, could be subpoenaed to give testimony under oath.

Judicial Watch is seeking information about whether Clinton and her aides intentionally dodged public records laws by using a private email server.

Lynch testified today that "career FBI " and "Career DoJ" officials are now working together in the FBI investigation..

This is no Republican witch hunt, despite Clinton's denials/parsing/walk backs/obfuscations/blame games.

We'll see. A judge appointed by Clinton. Where are these interviews going to take place?
There should be a special prosecutor -I mean we are talking about a candidate for president being 'investigated' by an outgoing DoJ of the same party?
Oh sure..no conflicts of interest there..

Attorney general promises 'independent' review of Clinton email case
Attorney General Loretta Lynch on Wednesday promised that any Justice Department review of possible criminal charges connected to Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified information would be “independent," without regard to politics or outside influence.

While a recommendation from the FBI about how to proceed could be months away, Lynch promised House lawmakers that the Justice Department’s course of action will be guided by the law alone.

“That matter is being handled by career independent law enforcement agents — FBI agents — as well as career independent attorneys in the Department of Justice,” Lynch told a House Appropriations subcommittee. “They follow the evidence, they look at the law and they’ll make a

Spy agencies say Clinton emails closely matched top secret documents
http://nypost.com/2016/02/24/spy-agencies-say-clinton-emails-closely-matched-top-secret-documents/

US spy agencies have told Congress that Hillary Clinton’s home computer server contained some emails that should have been treated as “top secret” because their wording matched sections of some of the government’s most highly classified documents, four sources familiar with the agency reports said.

The two reports are the first formal declarations by US spy agencies detailing how they believe Clinton violated government rules when highly classified information in at least 22 email messages passed through her unsecured home server.

Lynch said concerns about improper pressure on prosecutors or agents were unfounded, at least to her knowledge

"I'm also aware of no efforts to undermine our review or investigation into this matter at all," she said.

It's unclear what pressure Carter may have been alluding to, but after President Barack Obama commented last fall that he saw no evidence that the email situation endangered national security, some FBI agents said the president's comments were inappropriate because they appeared to predict the outcome of an ongoing investigation
