U.S. Economy Added 203K Jobs In November, Unemployment Down To 7%

more and more scotus or lower courts are stepping in and demanding redistricting (they did it in ca and the dims wound up the winners contrary to dim and repug expectations)

in case you overlooked it, more voters blame the government shutdown on the repugs than the dims.

oh well

Jurists cannot demand redistricting; that is done by the State Legislators or, in the case of California, the voting sheeple.

Democrats have seen gains in California; but not thanks to re-districting, but because California is infested with dimwitted leftists who infest the three major cities and outnumber the rest of the State that typically votes Conservative.

That will change as the California economy continues to flounder, more cities file bankruptcy and the reality of the budget sleight of hand Democrats used to pretend they balanced the California budget becomes untenable.

Why? How will that make anything better for ANYONE? Again, we do not have a REVENUE problem in this country, or any other for that matter. What we have is a SPENDING problem thanks to corrupt unscrupulous politicians who know they can dupe ignorant voters by promising them something for nothing.

I am always amazed by the clueless argument that if we force a tiny percentage of others to pay even more to the Federal Government who will piss it away, this will lead to better outcomes for everyone.

The middle class has NEVER paid the lion’s share of the taxes in this nation. It has always been the top 6 percent of earners who have paid and still pay the lions share.

What is increasing is the percentage of Americans who pay NOTHING; that is now 46.9% and growing.

Read; become informed instead of a parrot for moronic DNC talking points.

So the bulk of the U.S. tax burden is carried by only about half of the nation's households and taxpayers.

According to statistics provided by the Internal Revenue Service, U.S. taxpayers paid at the following rate in 2008, the most recent year for which comprehensive figures are available. The data was updated in 2010.

The top 1%, ranked by adjusted gross income of at least $380,354, paid 38.02% of federal personal income taxes.

The top 5%, ranked by adjusted gross income of at least $159,619, paid 58.72% of federal income taxes.

The top 10%, ranked by adjusted gross income of at least $113,799, paid 69.94% of federal income taxes.

The top 25%, ranked by adjusted gross income of at least $67,280, paid 86.34% of federal income taxes.

The top 50%, ranked by adjusted gross income of at least $33,048, paid 97.30% of federal income taxes.

The bottom 50%, ranked by adjusted gross income of less than $33,048, paid 2.7% of federal income taxes.

do you have the facts to back thus up?

my claim is that the total (lower, middle and upper) middle class used to pay a little more than half the total personal income tax...but that was before the economic crash at the end of the bushco administration and the slaughter of the middle class

I fully support taking redistricting out of the hands of politicians. I supported in 2005 (or whatever year it was) when Arnold put it on the special ballot in California and it didn't pass. I don't care if it benefits the Democrats. I support(ed) it on principle.

You didn't answer if you think Democrats gerrymander any less than the Republicans do or has any party said they don't think a Presidential election is important and not put up a fight for it?

And what does saying the public blames the Republicans for the shut down have to do with what we are discussing?

the entire electoral process (registration distribution etc) should be in nonpartisan hands with no one that has any interest in a given election (like referendums and initiatives) or related to any candidate

Every FACT included a link dimwit.

The Middle Class has NEVER paid more than half of all revenue collected. Do you have the "facts" to back that up??

There is no such thing as non-partisans. Everyone has political interests they wish to protect and advance, and they will ALWAYS find ways to circumvent laws to obtain their political power. Particularly those on the left.
