two US teens show how NOT to be sociopaths

I don't see how it's automatically immoral. Everyone agrees there are people we need to help. The problem is wasteful government practices and crony capitalism seeping into government via the corporate revolving doors creatign ever greater crisis after crisis and then telling us it's the people-helping part of government that need to be cut instead of the corporate welfare and military indistial complex.

Would it be moral or immoral of me to take your property if I give it to the poor?

Within limits, no. When there is no limit to what is asked of the taxpayer, yes, I think it becomes immoral.

Plus, it's a bit simplistic to lump it all together as "the poor". There are disabled and mentally ill people who get some of my money and I'm OK with that.

The problem isn't that we help people, it's that we don't have good enough oversight and we can't trust our leaders anymore

I think the film did an excellent job of demonstrating that the decades of liberalism following Johnson's innovations have done nothing to help counter poverty......

It's incredible any help is given given the decades of Republican rape of social programs to help the poor.

you know in your heart that this country still won't let you starve in the street

Even his children will kick him to the curb. We should have a national referendum. Don't want SS? Fine. Don't pay it. No refund. Don't want Medicare? Fine. Don't pay it. No refund. You snooze, you lose.

Pay your own way. No food banks, no government assistance of any kind.

Depend on the charity of the rich. Let's see how far you go.

Yep that's it. Just more oversight which means what? Oh yeah, more money

It is nice to know you have situational morals and that you are OK with outsourcing your compassion

Yeah, I know your type. You have been a leech for a long time, but don't think you are. You are the worst type. At least Shaquanda knows she is bilking the system. You are willfully naive

Never took a student loan. I don't have a degree. Never accessed any of the other programs you mentioned either.

As far as my state job? Fuck you. Do you know what I do for a living? I take care of the people that folks like you would probably shoot because they aren't productive. I've dealt with more shit than you know. I've had my spine fused because of being attacked by one of the people I work with. Did I try to play the system and get disability? Fuck no, even though I could have and have seen it done for lesser injuries. I have more pride and self respect than that. I've been bit, kicked, punched, slapped, been threatened with knives, spit on, had feces thrown on me, and been pissed on....and that's just from our folk with mental health issues on top of the primary diagnoses of being developmentally disabled. You see, in our state...we have a restraint free policy....we don't tie people down, we don't give them a shot in the ass and let them sleep it off. We deal with it through positive interaction. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...but that's the way we do it.

So yes, you fucking bigoted asshole, I do earn my pay. I'll tell you what, come to my place of employment and get tossed around a while...teaching yourself to remain calm because if you retaliate in any way...you're fired.

As far as my "bloated" government pension....yeah, I get one...after 35 years, I get 60% of my top three year average. I make about $40k/year.

So, perhaps you should use resources other than the blaze to get your information.

I'll take your leech comments for what they are...bigoted and coming from the keyboard of an ignorant, bitter man.

Please leave your late night romps with Howey out of this. As for the rest of your diatribe, I don't give a fiddlers fuck. You want a parade? You chose a profession. You get paid and you are a leech. I bet you haven't had a copy or contributed a fucking dime to your healthcare. How many time have your threatened to walk off the job.

I am sure your fellow libtards will fall all over themselves telling you what a wonderful soul you are, but I won't. Not my fault you weren't smart enough to get into college

Once again you ignorant ass...you don't know. Yes, we contribute 3% of our gross to health care and 6.2% to our retirement fund....anything else you'd like debunked? Not smart enough? Funny seems like this undereducated person is quite capable of holding my own against the likes of an elitist asshole like you.

Hint: When the trolls compare you to any members of the Kool Kidz Klub, affectionally known as the KKK, you have reached an important milestone of integrity, little grasshopper. Be proud as you have deserved it.

I'm not proud....I am ashamed. I am ashamed to call people like him my fellow American. Like I told him once before. He doesn't "love" America....he loves a fable. A tale woven by super wealthy people who can never have enough. Who are pulling the wool over the eyes of ignorant folk like him so they can pull yet another bait and switch on this country and wreck the economy one more time for their own benefit.

The good thing is that fewer and fewer are believing this fairy tale. They are realizing that the good factory jobs of the 50's-70's(which actually had pensions too) have been gradually replaced by shit jobs that can't sustain a family, while corporate profits skyrocket. They realize that all that money out of circulation to avoid paying taxes on it(15+ trillion dollars the last I heard) has crippled growth and prevented a full recovery of our economy. They know the lie of the 35% corporate rate that is reportedly "the highest in the world" is really somewhere around 12%.

So voices like his don't instill me with a sense if pride...it saddens me that there are people who are actually that stupid...no, stupid is too strong of a word....willfully ignorant to keep believing that big business and the wealthy have no culpability and that it's all "gubmint"

What is the lie about corporate tax rate being 35%? That is accurate. It is also true that our tax code is 70,000 pages long with all kinds of deductions that politicians have passed over the years which allow some companies to pay well below that number. It's why some people argue to lower the rate and do away with a number of deductions.

I'm not sure how the wealthy wreck the economy for their own benefit. And people who invested or stash their money elsewhere don't do it to wreck the economy they do to maximize their returns (or minimize their costs).

More government interference in the economy is not helping the economy of the average person. One only need to look at the European economic mess and unemployment rate to see what happens. Freer markets equals a higher standard of living and more prosperity.

The effective corporate tax rate is around 12%, once you account for all the loopholes and deductions. That's if you're company is big enough to take advantage of them. And yes, some bug corps pay nothing at all....and I am well aware that GE was one of them. No one gets a pass I'm my book.

Except no major party is calling for an end to these loopholes. So you are effectively advocating a raise in taxes that only apply to small businesses. As for the factory jobs, those people had no one but themselves to blame. Wanting skilled wages for unskilled labor led to automation of factories. If you want skilled wages, you need skills. Plenty of jobs for those, and with great wages.

Small business should be exempt, but corporate welfare needs to be trimmed, those come in the form of tax deductions and write offs. Crap our hole tax code is mostly shit.

I'd be ecstatic if we'd move forward with a flat tax of 23.5% and standard deductions of 60k for personal income, and no tax breaks for commercial and industry.

I agree with you on the loophole thing. But I vehemently disagree with you on the labor thing. It's one thing to talk about skilled vs. Unskilled....it's yet quite another to assume that people who TRULY aren't smart enough to develop those skills deserve to live in poverty is quite another.

And there is not "plenty" of those jobs....there's a need. But not enough to meet the needs of the 200 or so million unemployed/underemployed. More claptrap from the right wing propaganda machine.

Just out if curiosity....what do you do for a living?
