she could deny the leaking ( but someone in a very small universe DID leak) .

I think she'd have a lot of trouble explain 100'sof unmaskings. Clapper only asked
for " a couple dozen" in all his years of service, and Clapper is much more about writing IC reports/investigating

Why didn't she tell him sooner? Let's see. Trump inaugurated on Jan. 20. Flynn interviewed by FBI on Jan. 24. Yates goes to White House on Jan. 25 and 26.

The way I remember it is that Drumpf was pissed off that he had to fire Flynn, and was blaming "leaks" for forcing his hand.

I personally think if there had been no leaks, Drumpf would have kept Flynn.

Which means Drumpf would have allowed an agent of a foreign power be American's national security advisor.

That would be a level of treason on a par with Saint Ronald Reagan illegally giving high tech American weapons to the Iranian mullahs.
