On order to make a better America, we need to be united. We don't have to always agree, but this level of political hate on both sides is not sustainable.

I yearn for the rise of the independents as a viable third party.

My impression of Trump is that he's not ideologically driven. Obama was: Obama didn't like Republicans or conservatives---and vice a versa.

I honestly think Trump doesn't give a rats ass about ideology or their abstractions; or which Think Tank is saying what. In his world you do whatever works, regardless of whose idea it was. If liberals would just take a deep breath and forget about the Trump the caricature [who doesn't exist] they may find that Trump the president will work with them.

On at least some things.

Well, let's do an inventory. The Republicans started a 10-year war of choice - generally agreed upon as one of the biggest foreign policy blunders of modern times. Even by the guy you just elected.

And they crashed the economy. That was pretty bad.

And they horribly mismanaged a huge natural disaster that nearly destroyed one of our great cities.

The Democrats, meanwhile, presided over one of the greatest times of peace & prosperity the country has ever known in the '90's. And doubled the stock market, got the unemployment rate back below 5% and got us back to positive growth in the past 8 years.

So - you think the Republicans are "right," given the track record? Good luck w/ that.

Yes, of course patriotic Americans wanted him to "fail" with his socialist, big government, nanny state agenda. Unfortunately, he succeeded with a lot of that agenda. Now, we're in the unenviable position of trying to undo the damage and get back to freedom, limited regulation, limited government, independence from dictated executive orders and judges making laws.
