Twitter’s new owner aims to inform affected staffers Friday, said the people, who requested anonymity discussing non-public plans. Musk also intends to reverse the company’s existing work-from-anywhere policy, asking remaining employees to report to offices -- though some exceptions could be made, the people said.

Whenever I hear that, I send out resumes. When a boss says he is going to abuse you, to figure out who is the best workers, apply for other jobs. If you can get another job, tell the boss to screw himself. In a competitive field, what ends up happening is an abusive boss ends up with desperate, unproductive people.

So I guess it does work to separate the wheat from the chaff, and leaves the boss with the chaff.
 
I saw a report that ELON has brought in over 50 people from his other companies to understand Twitter, and decide who to fire.....he clearly thinks that Twitter is a deeply diseased company. Latest reports are that 50% are getting chopped.
