There is zero question that nothing is static. Like you said, a company can be on top today and gone tomorrow.
Twitter, to me, is a f'ing cess pool. I have an account, although I don't tweet, because there are certain people I want to follow. But when you read comments etc. there are so many bots and trolls it's mind boggling. I hope Musk, or anyone, can clean that sh*t up. If charging for people to be verified helps then I'm all for it. (I haven't really followed their business model and how this potential revenue would play a role.)
But this idea that Twitter is going to be deemed right-wing and someone is going to create a new left-wing version seems kind of asinine to me. As if everything is so easily broken down along those lines.
