You are attempting to build a mountain out of a molehill.
Because Turkey and the Armenians continue to have a political rivalry, the Turkish government feels genetically compelled to resist any public acknowledgement of the massacres.
What you are witnessing now is a Kubuki dance of political posturing to satisfy domestic politics in Turkey.
Three months from now no one is going to be talking about Biden's statement, and Turkey will still be in NATO.
