Tucker sits with Musk

This is one of those days when I mind very much that Tucker Carlson Tonight is about 1/3 ads and other fillers, double what TV once was. Tucker then wastes another few minutes summarizing and previewing what we are about to see.

Elon says that 80% of the headcount at Twitter is gone, and so now it is rightsized.

That is big, lots of other companies have way too many people gumming up the works as well.

I have been reading that many CEO's suspect that half or more of their headcount contribute little or nothing and are often drags on performance...what they lack is confidence that they can correctly identify who should be thrown out, and they fear the backlash with the remaining staff.....so they do nothing.

"The problem was known, but nothing was ever done about it" being one of the main themes of the dying West.

Random thought of the day: InBev has lost $4.3 billion from its high in market cap. Tesla has lost $561 billion from its high in market cap. InBev is down by 2.7% from its market high, so very close to the market high. Tesla is down by 48.6%.

I am temped to put a stopwatch on tomorrows installment, I suspect that of the hour show only 33 minutes is interview, the rest is junk and fillers.

It is a nice metaphor for what the West has become.

The beauty of recording

Today I am struck by how Musk seems to be hypervigilant about what he says....in the vein of self censorship unlike when Jordan Peterson thinks long before speaking because he wants to be precise.

If I am correct then this is a problem......he must speak the truth....at the end of the day this is the only thing that matters....to the extent that he is not we are being robbed of his knowledge and his mind.
